  • Morning Session (9:30 to noon) - Disability Awareness
  • Afternoon Session (1:30 to 3:30) - Disability Resources

Through the Partnering for a Good Life morning session, you will gain enhanced awareness and knowledge of disabilities. You will have increased confidence in working with individuals with a disability. You will get insight into interacting respectfully and communicating effectively with people with disabilities. You will be introduced to simple ways to make your library more accessible and welcoming.

During the afternoon session, we will provide information on resources in Oklahoma. The public is also invited to join. We will introduce you to groups and agencies locally and statewide that provide support. We will provide tools and resources that will benefit both you and your patrons. You will receive information and contacts that will help you and your patrons maneuver the disability landscape.
